How It Started
As coastal regions grew more congested and more ecologically strained in the late 1980’s, the search for the ideal lifestyle became altogether more difficult. With that in mind, the original developers of Beau Rivage Plantation located land consisting of rolling dunes, wooded hills and river frontage, affording an ideal site for secluded golf escapes. This getaway would feature all of the recreational and social amenities you would expect to find in a first-class club and resort... dining, entertainment, swimming, tennis, and best of all, championship golf. Built to preserve all the natural beauty that existed long before anyone came to cultivate the area, Beau Rivage Plantation was to become a crown jewel of the Carolina coast.
I Can Fix It
After retiring from the Paterson Fire Department in northern Jersey, Charlie relocated to North Carolina with his family in 2002. Being an avid golfer, he worked at Beau Rivage volunteering as a course marshall and picking balls on the driving range. In that time, Charlie saw the potential of what Beau Rivage could be - the same potential that inspired the original dream.
After twenty five years, Beau Rivage continues to offer the great escape as a family-owned and operated facility. Our award-winning golf course is a favorite among Wilmington locals as well as those traveling to the area, and golf groups continue to return to the Beau year after year. At Beau Rivage, we strive to offer both locals and visitors a multigenerational venue for golf, dining, entertainment and other social and recreational activities, and to offer them at a great value..
At the end of the day, what matters most is treating people right. Our mission is to provide each and every guest with an exceptional resort experience through caring, personalized service and good old-fashioned hospitality. Our guests may love the golf course and other amenities or dine with us weekly because of our unique fare, but what keeps them coming back is how our staff makes everyone feel at home, no matter how far away home may be.
