Dear Members,

We hope everyone was able to stop by the annual Members only Memorial Day Pool Party. We handed out over 130 hotdogs and the place was on fire with Tom’s upbeat DJ services and refreshing libations from the Shack. We appreciate everyone’s gratuitous words- it truly encourages us daily to continue to learn and grow as a team, a Club, and a treasured & unique Community.

We would like to address a recent menu price increase at the Veranda Bar & Grill and share some insights into this decision, which we as a Club did not take lightly. Beau Rivage has offered the same menu pricing since 2017, with just a handful of items seeing a bump at the beginning of 2020 Covid-era. Unfortunately due to a continued trend of inflation since 2017, plus rising food costs and increased labor costs, coupled with an overarching and genuine desire to continuously improve the Customer experience, while maintaining our facilities with pride, we have no choice but to become commensurate with surrounding restaurants. Other options that were discussed were 1) instituting a Food & Beverage minimum or 2) assessing membership for specific improvements, like many other Clubs in the area. We have no plans for forced assessments or spending minimums; despite this our focus remains on continuous improvement. We appreciate your support and understanding as we navigate these challenges. We will continue to feature daily specials seven days a week, including new healthier protein options, and we look forward to your continued feedback.

If you haven’t come to the FREE aquatic fitness flow with Chrissy (members only or member-guests with guest pass), there is still one more opportunity tomorrow, Thursday 6/4 at 9am. Come get the blood flowing with a refreshing aerobic flow and set the day right!

We will continue to host a free Night Owl 60+ pickleball social play on Wednesday evenings from 6-8pm. Bring a non-member friend for only $5! Always drop-in and no score recording, this is just for fun. And speaking of pickleball, check out some of the new merchandise at the Pavilion, including the Keep It Sweaty skorts and leggings, Diadem Court Burst shoes, paddles for all levels (check out the beginner Team paddles for the kids this summer), and pickleballs. Member discounts apply!

Coming up on the course in June is the BRMGA Old Timers v. Young Studs. Also registration is open for the Chippendale Ladies Scramble, and the Clubs and Suds Captain’s Choice. Come out and hit the sticks with friends and enjoy the camaraderie of this vibrant community.

Originally from Greensboro, North Carolina, Antoine is a sports enthusiast passionate about community engagement. He earned a Business Administration degree from UNC Greensboro and spent over 13 years as Senior Sports Director at the YMCA of Greensboro.
